New Favourites!!

I think I might be slightly in love with these new earrings: They are Made with vintage German glass beads, which are over 50 years old. They are a fabulous deep blue with coppery gold sparkles within. Such a stunning bead.

Calm and Frosty Morning

This is the next best thing to having one of my own items on the front page (which wont happen until my photography skills improve!) Here it is: I called it "Calm and Frosty Morning".

Metalwork

Well, I'm off to my third silversmithing class this evening. I'm hopefully going to complete my beach glass, bezel set pendant (or at least nearly complete it). Provided I don't get all gung-ho with the torch again that is : ) I'm going to need to find a scrap silver merchant pretty quick if I don't improve my technique soon!

Received a new batch of vintage beads and stampings in this mornings post, and came over all misty eyed at the sight of my new, perfect vintage silver cotton pearls. Sigh. There were also some fabulous teal glass drops, and some HUGE brass flower components that were very art deco looking, along with other wondrous treasures.

I dragged myself away from gazing at my new stash long enough to make some little silver pearl chokers, which have a great winter look to them. If I can get them photographed this week I'll list them on Friday.

I Also completed my orders for the new Poseidon necklaces. This time I will probably make 5 or 6 of the same design, as they do seem to be pretty popular. The new ones will have all the old stones: labradorite, peruvian blue opal, aquamarine, kyanite, moonstone and moss aquamarine, and also some Australian fire opal, which I think will fit in perfectly. The stones are coming from far and wide, though, so the new necklaces are still a few weeks off.
